You know, I was just thinking about Vasco about a week ago and then here it is as name of the day. I think it's one of those wonderful names that is vaguely familiar to people, without being too common, and quirky and cool, but not overbearingly so.

It is one of my favorites. I love the association with exploration. It makes it seem adventurous and handsome, imo. It's a name I'd seriously consider if I had a son today, haha. I prefer the Portuguese prn.

Thats exactly what came to my mind Vasco Da Gama! Its pretty cool but reminds me of a last name Visco.

I like Vasco, but pronounced the Portuguese way.

Velasquez is one of my favorite painters and his name is so much fun to say out loud. Velasquez is on my long name list as a GP. But I hesitate to use it because it is a surname and I can't stand the current trend of using any ol' surname. So that's why it's a guilty pleasure.

It's alright. It looks too much like my friend's last name though (Vasko). It would be cool to see.
