[Opinions] Friend BA... Violet _____
I have friends (husband and wife) who are in their early 30's; they are in a band together, both talented, artsy and seem "hip."
They had just had a daughter they had already decided to name Violet. It wasn't til nearly a week after the birth that they decided on a middle name-- Rose.
Violet Rose is a little bit of a let down, but somehow the combo doesn't seem so bad on a baby now that she's here as it would if someone just hypothetically asked me about it.
How bad do you think Violet Rose is?

I don't think it's bad, but Rose is just such a common filler mn, I see how it was a bit of a let down!
Ha it's not bad at all. Why does it seem so bad to you? Is there something I'm not getting?
Just the 2 flower names normally seems repetitive/overkill.
not bad
If they are as edgy as I suspect they are, they probably think having a double-flower name is neat. Or maybe they hardly see Rose/Violet as a flower name at all (I'm like that with Iris - sometimes I forget its a flower)
It's not bad. Not something I'd probably do, but certainly not horrible. Celebrities do it (Johnny Depp's Lily Rose for example), so it seems ok to most people I'm sure.

Holy flower power, batman. While I like both names individually, together it seems like too much.
