[Opinions] Zinka
Just came across this in an article about a Croatian opera singer (Zinka Milanov) and rather liked it - it's a got a great sound. WDYT, and does anyone know anything about it? (Sofia?)

Ooh I really like Zinka!
I think of the metal zinc, being a science fanatic who will probably become a Chemical Engineer.
You called?
I wasn't sure who she is and then remembered that Zinka Kunc married Predrag Milanov. Zinka and Milka Trnina (btw, the chocolate brand was named after her) are considered our greatest opera singers.
The name comes from Rozina (from Rosina) via the diminutive form Rozinka. It's not used much now and was most popular in 1950s/60s.
ETA: It could also be derived from any name ending in -zina-> -zinka, like: Terezina, Agnezina, Alojzina, Frozina, Fruzina, Eufrozina, Eufruzina, Krizina, Tomazina...

Excellent, thank you very much! I really like all the -zina names. Croatia has a fantastic name-pool. And that's fascinating about the opera singer/ chocolate connection. Maybe that's why I've always liked Milka so much, because it subconsciously reminded me of chocs?
