I asked my SO what he thought of Odella or Odessa and he said he didn't like them. But then he suggested the name Odetta. I really love Odetta! And it has wonderful, almost endless nickname options, such as Odette, Etta, Oda, Detta, etc. I have always loved the name Etta, but wasn't sure if I would like it as a full fn, but it would be adorable as a nn for Odetta! Also, it is the name of a famous folk singer. We both really love folk music and depression era, and southern old and fashioned names. What do you think of Odetta (and the nn Etta)? :)
