My best friends goddaughter is called Hettie, short for Henrietta. I like it alot, but prefer Hattie nn for Harriet

I knew a tall, stout, balding, unmarried librarian called Hettie once; in her case it was short for Henrietta. She was a nice person; unfailingly cheerful.

I think it's adorable. I like it short for Henrietta.

I don't really like it. I hope that it is a nickname

It's not bad. Not great, but not terrible.
Although, I do have a Tante (Aunt) Hetti. Which is short for Hedwig, for her.

As in Hetty Green, the Witch of Wall Street?(m)

For that association alone, I'm giving the edge to Hattie. Hattie is worlds better.

I like it. I'd use it for Hester too.

I know a Hedy sounds the same as Hetty and hers is short for Hedwig! I love Hedy. Hetty to me is the same as Hedy I like Hatty or Hattie better for Henrietta
