I would like to know where the name Mariye comes from. I heard (and read)it in a foreign song once and really liked it. I assume it's a form of Mary. I don't know what language it was either.

In Dutch it would be Marija, and sometimes Marije I think, pronounced ma-RAY-a. And, yes, it's a nickname form of Maria.
