Help[Opinions] Poeme
So, i've posted about a couple of non names latley for gits and shiggles but I do actually like this one. A lot. I don't know if I would actually use it but I might. I would pronounce it the same way the french pronounce the word. Sounds like po-EMME (not emma).
Would you use it?

It's beautiful. It would be a nice middle name, but I don't think it would work here in Sweden; people would probably pronounce it Po-AY-meh.

I can see the appeal of it for others, but I'm not really liking it.
I prefer/like the similar Tahitian name Poema.

Hmmm. I love Sonnet. And I could get into Poem. I love the sound of Poeme, I just don't know if others would pronounce it that way too. It might be a hassle for a child if you live outside of a French speaking area.
Then again, I'd name a dd Niamh or Aoife, so what do I know?
Poeme is lovely if you are OK with the inevitable pronunciation issues.

I really do. So it's French for Poem, correct? It's just really, really pretty. I would love this if it was my name.
It's hard to describe why I like it so much, it's just...it has a wistful feeling about it and I also see the color dark purple and plums.
I googled it and it's also a type of Lancôme product which isn't a bad thing really.

Poème would get you the "po-EMME" pronunciation, but Poeme just says, "poam"
No, I wouldn't use it. It's a masculine word, and 2 of my biggest naming pet-peeves are 1) incorrect use of accents, 2) gendered nouns in other languages on the wrong gender in English.
The whole "It's a word thing" doesn't really bother me but the lack of accent and *especially* if it's to be used on a girl when it's a masculine noun both really irk me.

In terms of french word-names, I like Poesie the best (which I think means "thought"? or "poetry"? Or something?)
Poeme looks a little laboured. I love Poem, which is soft, rounded, and deep, but Poeme is a bit too much for me. It is lovely, however, and if I met a Poeme, I would probably rave for days about it. I myself would just use Poem or Poet before Poeme.

Poesie is lovely, as is Poem and Poet.

Would I use it? No I wouldn't and to be honest I don't think it's a great name. It's a bit pretentious but it would make a really good middle name. It's a lot better than Poem. Just one thing, I would definitely use the correct French spelling, Poème. I don't like the look of Poeme.
