I think of those, too (they're gorgeous, but gosh, with the dead flowers and the seedpods falling off them, I would not want one in a yard that I had to rake). But even more than that, I think of the touch-sensitive variety of mimosa. It used to grow as a weed in the grass around my friend's apartment complex parking lot in Austin. So neat. I suppose you have those where you are, too.
Dunno if I like the name, but I don't think the drink ruins it either.
