It feels to me like one of the "parents' aspirations" names that I really hate. Like the baby is supposed to be a remedy for the parents' bad marriage or bad childhood or something. Fun as a GP maybe but not on a real child!

...it actually seems rather neat, and more interesting than I first thought. It has a really neat New England Colony ring to it, like.... Temperance, or Zeal. Or Pestilence.

Yeah, that's the problem
Remedy sounds like a name that should be earned, like after 60 years in the jazz business or something. Oh well.
