[Facts] Pronounciation & Meaning
I was wondering how the following names are pronounced, or what their meanings are?
How are the following pronounced?:
Alured- M English "Sage", "wise". From the Old English Aelfraed, meaning "elf counsel". Also from Ealdfrith or Alfrid, meaning "old peace".
Siofra F Irish "elf" in Irish Gaelic.
Tien F Vietnamese Means "fairy, spirit" in Vietnamese.
Satu F Finnish Means "fairy tale, fable" in Finnish. Is this Sat-oo (like oo la la)?
Also, do you know the meanings of the following names?
Faylinne --I know that Fay means fairy, but I don't know if the ending "linne" would relate the name Lynn or the name Lin? This is a modern name.
Chepi --Female Algonquin name
Thanks for any help!
