I'm picking up new Scottish names today. This is great. I've added Mairi to my long list thanks to you. :-)
Don't you love how the Scots put "-ina" on the end of any male name? I suppose it's no different than French "-ine" or "-ette" and English does it too. but somehow it's sweeter when the Scots do it. In my baby name book I've got Jacobina, Douglasina and Hughina listed. I mean, who else would do that?
