Evie is a nice nickname.

I prefer Evgenia because adding the Y in there makes it look much more complicated and it's unnecessary because it doesn't change the pronounciation ot anything. I love the nickname Evie. Evia could be a more interesting alternative, taking the beginning and ending of Evgenia (ev-ee-uh)

Yevgenia / Evgenia, nn Evie, is darling. I know the vowel sounds are different. But I have no problem with Evelyn, nn Evie. So I don't see why Yevgeniya / Evgenia should be any different.

At first, I thought the title was Evdokiya ("ev-duh-KEE-yuh"), a variant of Eudoxia / Eudocia. You might like that one as well.

I think it's very pretty. I tend to use the yev-GYEN-ee-ya pronunciation so Evie doesn't make much sense as a nn to me, though I love Evie as a nn for other names. I prefer Evgeniya.

I know an Evgeniya from my university. I slightly prefer Evgenia and I like Evie or Evi as nicknames.

The vg part makes it a little awkward when I try to say it...
