[Opinions] Armida
This has been growing on me recently. I like a lot of names with a medieval/Renaissance literary vibe to them, but I hadn't really considered Armida. I wouldn't use on a child because it's too uncommon, but I'd use for a character or possibly as an internet pseudonym for myself (don't worry, I'm not planning to change usernames here any time soon).
Any thoughts?

I'd never heard of it before but I like the sound. Unfortunately, I thin it's a bit similar to the sound of Armada and I think it would be mistaken for that here.
Well, at first I read it as Armada (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armada), so I guess that's a no on real life usability.
But it does have a nice sound and would make a great character name.

Ditto that it reminds me too much of the word armada. It has a harsh sound I don't really like but it seems like a name that won't age. It would work well both for a child and an adult (probably more for an adult). And there are some nickname possibilities that might make it less harsh. Overall, I think it's a good name for a character or pseudonym but not for a real life child.

I like the 'mida' part of it, not so much the 'ar' part. It reminds me of the word armada.
