My boyfriend and I were discussing our favourite names the other night and when I mentioned Matilda (my no. 1 girls name) he really liked it and said it was his favourite out of my top names. However when I mentioned that her nickname would be Tilly he laughed saying that you can't call a child Tilly. He said the only nickname choice was Mattie - which I hate!

WDYT? What is the best nickname for Matilda? Tilly / Tillie or Mattie and why?

Note: the nickname is likely just to be a nickname i.e. she will mainly go by Matilda.
