Amanita is a character in Pokemon Black and White, and the name is also a fungus. The name sounds pretty, though. I wouldn't use it because the mushroom bearing it is poisonous. but it's great for a fictional character.

A mushroom, the name is a fungus among us! Run!!! It also reminds me of a Poke'mon character.

Uh, for a villainess whose MO is poisoning. Or even a protagonist who poisons, heheh.
Amanita is a notorious poisonous genus of mushroom. That's all I think of.

Meh. Don't really like it. I had to read it twice to pronounce it correctly, and it didn't get better the second time. It's like a jacked up version of Anita. Or Amalia meets Anita. Either way, not for me.
At first glance I thought I was seeing Araminta, which is far better.
