[Opinions] Evren
I've just recently discovered this name and am really starting to like it for a boy. I've sort of been looking for a longer name name to use the nn Ren because I feel Ren is too short and choppy with my last (which starts with an 'R'). I also think the meaning is pretty awesome :)So how do you like it and what do you think of Evren nn Ren. And also, do you think it sounds too close to be the son of an Evan?

I like Evren "Ren" a lot, and I think it's close enough to Evan to be cute but not too confusing. Evren R___ might be a bit awkward though (not nearly as awkward as Ren R__ though.)

I'm really happy to hear this :DYeah I'm not all that crazy about how Evren R___ sounds either but it seems like so many of my favorites seem to end with an 'r' in the last syllable ((i.e. Kieran, Cameron, Abram, Vera, Allegra, etc.)) that I've basically just given in to it.

I absolutely love it for a boy. It's one of my faves. My only reservation is that I think it would probably be confused with Evan on a frequent basis. It might also be confused with Everett. It's one of those names that is different, but it sounds close enough to more familiar names to cause some trouble. I'm still debating in my head whether or not to use it as a first name. It might be better to use it as a middle name for aforementioned reasons. Since you're planning to call him Ren and presumably on a very frequent basis, that would discourage people from mixing up his name with Evren or Everett.Evan and Evren are too close for a father and son, but if Evren always went by Ren, it would work.

I really like Evren. There's just something so pleasant about it. It's a very warm name. I don't think it's too close to be the son of an Evan. The sounds are somewhat similar, but I don't think they are too similar.

I really like it. If I met an Evren, son of Evan, I'd assume the parents were honoring the father obliquely.
