[Opinions] Macy/Maisie/Macie and a BA (triplets)
WDYTO Macy / Maisie / Macie (etc.)? Does it seem substantial enough for a first name? Can you think of any fuller names with one of them as a nickname? Combo ideas?BA: triplets in my neighborhood were born April 2. They are:Aria Danielle Winona
Lyra Kathleen Noelle
Isla Michelle Sophia

Macy/Macie strikes me as too cutesy sounding, but I don't mind Maisie when it's pronounced MAY-zee. Mairead or Marguerite "Maisie" would be lovely. The triplets' names go together really well. I especially like Lyra Kathleen Noelle and Isla Michelle Sophia. I think they used too many -elle names, but at least their first names aren't all -elle names. I also would have preferred Aurora to Aria.

Macy/Macie and Maisie are different names.I like Macy and Macie, but not Maisie.

Maisie is just adorable, but a little too much so to be a full name. I'd use it as a cutesy nn for Mae, another name I love. Macy sounds rather dated to be, and I don't like how it rhymes with Stacey and Tracey, two names I really dislike. Macy is, however, a perfectly acceptable full name.

I like Macy or Maisie as a first name. It is cute & spunky. Macy rhymes with Casey, Lacey, Tracy, all of which are complete names. Aria, Lyra & Isla is a very nice sibset.

I only like Maisie, because I pronounce it differently than Macy or Macie. I pronounce more with a z sound in the middle than an s. I think they all could be full names on their own, but they do all seem a bit childish at the same time. Those triplets have lovely names, by the way! Beautiful. :)Although Lyra and Isla are a bit too similar sounding for my tastes.

I'm another who considers Maisie (may-zee) to be a different name from Macy/Macie (may-see).I dislike Macy/Macie, but I think Maisie is sweet. It's a little too sweet as a given name for my liking, though. Margaret is my favorite full name for it.

Those are pretty for a trip set!And I prefer longer names with lots of nn potential so I would so I would say to go with some longer name and use one of the three about as nns BUT, they are cute and it wouldn't be bad at all if you used them by themselves.

Macie / Macy and Maisie are different names to me - one has an 's' sound in the middle and one has a 'z' sound. I like Maisie a lot more than Macy / Macie, and it feels more substantial as a first name because it has more history.Of the triplets' names, I like Lyra, Isla and Sophia, but not so much the rest. The arrangement of names is interesting though.

With absolutely no reason in particular, I feel Macy may work as a first given name, but Maisie and Macie are best used as nicknames only. I guess the ie ending making the name seem informal IMO.

I pronounce them differently. Macy and Macie I pronounce to rhyme with Casey. Maisie, I pronounce to rhyme with Daisy. In other words, MAY-see vs. MAY-zee.I like Maisie a lot as a nickname, though I don't care for Macy or Macie at all. I think they're the type of name that could work as a full name but would still be better as a nickname for something more formal. Ideas:Margaret
Marigold
Marilyn
Rosemary
Marisa
Mabel / Mabelline
Megan maybe
Matilda
Maximiliana
Amaryllis
Thomasina
Magdalena
Manuela
Marcelline (I think this would be FANTASTIC with Macy)
Margot
MargueriteThose triplet names are very peculiar. "Exotic" short first names, boring 80s middle names (honouring maybe?), and long feminine second-middle names. It's like the names go well together with each other, but not in their individual combos. I also think Lyra and Isla sound way too close. Still, overall, nice names.

I knew a Macey but I'm not sure if it was her full name, though it seemed like the only thing she went by. I don't know what it could be short for, maybe Madison?I LOVE the first names for that triplet sibset. They go really well together, they're all pretty names, and they're not too matchy or too different (they're all equally nice, though personally I like Aria the best). I'm not a fan of double middle names as I think it's kind of over-doing it, but they have nice full names.
