My husband bought a brand of butter that was named Linnea (or Linea)
First thing that popped in my mind when I saw the name (*sorry*)

I love the name Linnea, though (as an English-speaker) I'd be more inclined to use the spelling Linnaea.

Love it! Beautiful light name. It is in my top 2 at the moment. If I ever got to use it, I would use Lina (lee nah) as a nickname.

It's just outside of my name-list criteria, but it is my second favorite nature name for girls. It's second to yet another L name, Lily.

A lot of name nerds seem to love it, but it's just the Emily of another country. It seems a little pretentious to me, and not in a good way like an 'old money' pretentious name (Cornelia, Barnabas etc). I imagine it to be popular with middle-class arty girls in their early twenties who pass off the flower as a long time favourite of theirs (A Rose or Violet being just as darling, but who wants a - gasp - common name! You've gotta show you're cultured, even if you're really not).

I think it's lovely. I used to not like it, but it's been growing on me.

I like Linnea. It's not one of my favorites, but it's very pretty, and I like the nature connection.

I prefer spelled Linnaea but either way it's a lovely name :)

I like it. It's a plant and it's very 'namey', so you kind of get the best of both worlds.

I like it, but it's so very common here ... I have a friend called Linnea (Ellen Henrietta Linnea, which I think is a beautiful combo), and it's the middle name of two other friends (Erika Linnéa and Danielle Linnea).

I love Linnea. I love names that end in that airy, "-AY-uh" ending. Sylvie Linnea is my stock combo for it. I suppose it could work the other way around too: Linnea Sylvie. :-)

I like the look of it very much. I'm not a huge fan of the "Lin" part, but it is a neat name. And Nea (Nay-uh) would make a cute nickname. It reminds me of one of my newest favourites: Mattea, nn Tea (Tay-uh).
