reminds me of avion airplane in french, so for me it would be like naming child airplane.... sorry

It's not a girl's name; it's an adjective meaning of or relating to birds. I dislike word names anyway, but usually word names are nouns, not adjectives anyway, especially because it will seem like that is describing the mn or sn. Sorry, but I don't like it.

I just tried to find the name "Avian" on the internet and I didn't pull up any name sites, I just pulled up a lot of stuff about the current avian flu! Wow, that has now turned me off to this name. I liked the sound of this "name" when someone suggested it to me, but I guess it is unusable.
