What are your thoughts on Mel - just Mel - for a boy?
I was trying to think of how I'd honour a Melissa in a boy's name, and figured Mel was the most obvious thing. I don't know about choosing a longer, unrelated name, like Melvin or something (though I thought Meallan or Mellan was pretty awesome), but just Mel seems closer to the real thing, and it kinda has a nerdy retro thing happening.
