Message: "Caggie" - Behind the Name

I just remembered hearing of a girl on a TV show here (I think it was Made In Chelsea, not sure) called Caggie. I've been trying to work out what it might be short for - can anyone think of a full name which Caggie might be short for?

(for the record, I think Caggie is a really ugly name!)

Caggie sounds awful. Maggie and Aggie are much cuter.

I've seen Caddy as a nickname for Catherine. I think Catherine "Caggie" works too.

It's both unappealing and attractive at the same time... interesting. It does make me think "craggy," which is kind of neat for a feminine nickname. Reading responses below, I see it was used as a nn for Catherine. I can see that, or maybe Caroline.

It almost makes me think of how Nell is from "Mine Eleanor"... like Caggie is some form of Agnes or Agatha that way.

It also reminds me of the words "cagey" and "craggy". It's interesting.

MADE IN CHELSEA! It's such a guilty pleasure for me. Such bad television but so addictive. ;)

Caggie is short for Catherine on the show, but I 'spose you could use it for any C name, like Caroline. I agree with you though, Caggie is not a cute name, it reminds me of that type of waterproof coat the cagoule. :/

I've never seen it, or the Essex one. In all the adverts they look like complete prats!
