I prefer it spelled Laken for some reason. It's kind of a "guilty pleasure" for me--not my usual style, and I'd never use it on a real person, but I kind of like it anyway. :b I love the name Georgia, but Laken Georgia sounds like a "lake in Georgia." LOL. I'd pick a classic and fairly popular name to go in the middle, one that's quite feminine, to even it out. Like Laken Elizabeth, etc.

My cousin's little girl is Laken Dawn Marie. She's a total sweetheart so I have a little bias where that name is concerned. I only like the Laken spelling though. Georgia is a nice mn.

I would pronunce it LYE-kin, since the first syllable looks like the "lai" in "balalaika," one of my favourite words. And the LYE-kin pronunciation is hardly great--lichen is the flat stuff that grows on rocks.

If you really want to pronunce it LAY-kin, you'd do better to spell it Laken. That's streamlined, far easier to look at and spell, and less confusing with pronunciation. I'm still not a big fan of it--I prefer Larkin / Larken, like the character in Once Upon A Mattress--but it looks better as Laken.

Laken Georgia would be fine--I do like Georgia a bit. I'd be sure to use a feminine middle name, since I've seen Laken on boys, too.

Hm. Not really. The "kin" ending on it looks and seems diminutive (trivializing / too familiar), and I'd strongly tend to pronounce it LIE-kin like "likin'" or like Laken with a strong Southern accent.

I don't mind Laken or even Layken (though it's far too trendy). But the spelling Laikin looks tacky to me. The extra "i" looks like it's thrown in for frilliness.
