I'm not a big beer person, but
Oberon is one of the few I love! If you lived where I did, you certainly couldn't use
Oberon as a name. It's a seasonal beer, and the day it comes out is like a freaking holiday here (it's even called "
Oberon Day.").
I really can't seperate it from that association. Maybe if it's spelled
Auberon. Yeah. That makes me think of a great warrior with a big sword (a la Auron).
So trying to think of it that way, I like
Graeme Oberon (pretty colors!) and
William Oberon (swoon) and
Rory Oberon a lot. And I would love
Auberon Alexander. Normally I dislike
Alexander as a mn (way too easy) but visually and feel-wise it works very well with
Auberon, but not
Oberon.
