I don't know the band, but I do know Russian history - and Abba!"Ra-Ra-Rasputin, Russia's greatest love machine" as a name for a girl? I don't think so.

I knew about Rasputin, but I honestly didn't even consider him when asking this question! I feel so embarrassed now. Yeah, definitely not the kind of guy I'd admire and want to name my kid after. Pretty name, though. Thank you everybody for your answers. Hopefully this topic will fade into the darkness.

I totally understand.Everyone has made posts they're embarrassed about. A few years ago I thought Ilyich was a given name and Ilya was the diminutive. I was really embarrassed when I found out that Ilyich actually meant "son of Ilya". :-)
