[Facts] Re: Shibin (male)

I suppose this name has its origin to the Sanskrit word "Shiven" which means "by Shiva." I have heard this name in a couple of new Hindi films. "Shibin" or "Shiben" might be its corrupted pronunciation.
Besides the way Bengalis pronounce Dhirendra as Dhiren, Narendra as Naren, Vinay as Binoy etc. it could be a "form" of Shivendra as well.
I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me.

I was actually wondering whether it is related to the Sanskrit word shibi/shivi of uncertain etymology, but used as a name from the Rgvedic period to the classical Sanskrit period. In particular, it was the name of a king who decided to give his body as equivalent flesh to protect a dove who asked shelter from a hawk who demanded the king had no right to take away his food.
The problem is that the Keralite Chrstians choose their names from a wide variety of sources, and the name might not even be of Sanskrit origin.
