Hello, just wondering what people think of the name Leola. I stumbled on it on a name site and love the way it sounds. (I assume it's pronounced "lee-o-la", or like the name Leo + "la"). It's just fun to say. It's also different without being too out there and it's easy to spell. What do you think? Love it or hate it? Any middle name ideas?

kind of wounds similar to areola, but I work in women's health...

It's a lovely sound though and fun to say for sure.

I've never heard of it before, But I love it. I love Leo or Lela as nicknames.

You're right: I've never really thought about it, but Leola is fun to say. And, since I love masculine nicknames on girls, I'd totally call her Leo!

I quite like it, but I prefer Leona. Leona looks neater, while Leola looks a little strange to me - I think it's the L in the middle.
