[Opinions] Veralidaine?
This is a name from a book so its probably totally made up, but I still think its interesting and worth getting opinions on. I probably would never use it on a real person.
In the book Veralidaine is nn Daine. I'm assuming its pronounces "ver-al-ih-dayn".
Combos?

It's fun to say. Too bad it would be hard to pull off in real life.
Veralidaine Pearl and Georgia Veralidaine come to mind.

What they said about it looking like a drug. The -lidaine part just makes me think of lidocaine.
Vera is nice though!

I really like it in a guilty-pleasure, fantasy-or-gaming-character way. Many of the names I love are that kind - look in my profile at the names not in the database! :) Although I'm sure one could get away with it in the middle spot.
Is it masc. or fem.? I feel like it's trying to be two names at once or something... It's too long and sprawling - I lose interest halfway through. Maybe if the spelling was a bit different - Veralydane? Veralidane? The pronunciation is quite attractive, I agree. It's just the way it looks that turns me off.
I pronounce it the same as you, except it kind of totally reminds me of a drug name of some sort.
I love Tamora Pearce. I assume that she made it up. I've always pronounced it vair-ah-lih-dayn.
I really like it. Love those books too. I would probably use Rali (Rally) as the nickname if I used it irl, but Daine is nice too.

Cool. It's very long and intricate, sort of frilly in a good way.
Is it a girl or a boy? At fist I thought boy but now I can see it going either way.
Also, what syllable do you emphasize? I was saying ver-AL-ih-daine on first glance.

The character is a girl. And I also emphasize it like ver-AL-ih-daine.
