Alva and Lava are just the same letters mixed up. Suprised the third one isn't Vala.

Probably because Vala seems to be a girls name (they're Swedish, so Alva's a girl and Love's the boy here, just so you know) and also would be like "Whale-a" in Swedish? ;) They could have gone for something like Oliva, Viola and Olavi though.
