Saw this in a magazine. I think it might be a trendy version of Mia? WDYT?

If it's a trendy version of Mia, I really don't like it. I'm not crazy about Mia to begin with as it is.

For what it's worth, -mh- in Scots Gaelic makes a -v- sound. Mhairi = Vahri, Mhor = Vor. Unfortunately, it is my understanding that the actual base names/words don't have the -h-, which only appears in the vocative (when calling a person by name rather than just saying the name).
The -mh- spellings seem to be used sometimes because they look distinctive, exotic, cute, whatever, and pronounced as if the -h- didn't appear. Perhaps the same applies here?

Hmm... It reminds me of Rhea. Rhea works IMO, but Mhea looks a bit off. Unless it came from another language and wasn't just a strange spelling of Mia.

I don't know if it is from another language, but the parents were definitely English.

Mia is so pretty as is, if that's what they were going for. I assume they are trying to be unique, but it just brings the name down. I suppose it could be a completely different name, from another culture. It's hard to say for sure.
