Help[Opinions] Macallan?
Ok, so I usually am not a fan of made-up names, but I actually think Macallan could be really cute for a baby boy. It is a english/scottish surname so it isn't completely made up. Plus it is similar to one of my current favorites, Macaulay, and it could have the oh-so-cute nickname Cal. What do you think?

I like it. It definitely sounds surnamey (and Scottish) so if that's the vibe you're going for, it's good. I'd prefer Macallan as a middle name but it would make a good first name too. I'd also like just Callan, or Macallan with the nickname "Callan".

It's the name of a fine whiskey that OH drinks, so I could never use it, but I like the nicknames Mac and Cal.

Our local paper does features on local kids with interesting names, and one of them was Macallan. It was chosen because his parents were whiskey aficionados.
