[Opinions] Mea
I came across this name on FB today. I don't like Mia when it's spelt properly, but seeing it spelt this way, is utterly ridiculous. Is it a spelling from another culture?

mea culpa!
I think it's from the culture of Kreaytivitee. It beats Meeyah, though (I saw that a few days ago).

I once saw a BA for a Meah-Sharn (supposed to be Mia-Sian). I have seen Mea a couple of times. I would assume parents just don't know how to spell Mia.
Exactly what I thought. I'm sure it's just kre8iv, but certainly not as kre8iv as Meeyah.
Mea doesn't look ridiculous to me, just incomplete. I'd also pronounce it MAY-uh, not like Mia, if that's what it was intended to be a form of. As far as "creative" spellings could go, I'd say this is pretty tame.

I don't like it at all. However, it's better than Miea, which I saw today.
LOL, I have no idea. I immediately thought of mea culpa.
Mea is used here in Sweden, but it's not that common. Mia and Mea are two totalt different names and I have to say that I far prefer Mea. Mea is rather nicknamey though.
