Help[Opinions] Mispelling of Eliette?

Eliette is an older French name, there is an actress Eliette Abécassis so it maybe its a misspelling or their own take on that name? Your pronunciation is right but you can listen to it here if you like http://www.forvo.com/word/eliette_ab%C3%A9cassis/#fr

Oh yes, probably it is a misspelling or variation of Eliette. I think I like the two Ls better though. It's pretty to hear the name said, it has more of an "eel" sound at the beginning so it's pronounced like eel-yeht. Not sure how my parent's friends pronounce their daughter's name but maybe it's not el-ee-et after all.
