I suddenly find myself liking Nan. It's simple and clean-looking and has a nice lively, if slightly 17th-century, feel to it. I can quite easily see, say, Henry and Nan as a sibset. But is it usable in the UK, by itself? I'm not that keen on Nancy or Nanette, and Nan-for-Ann seems too archaic and a bit pointless. Does anyone else like it? And what would you pair it with as a combo / for a female sibling?
