[Opinions] Hobie
This morning I met a Hobie (rhymes with Toby).
Male, 20-something.

I had a prissy, aggravating classmate Hobart "Hobie" when I was in college so if the name might have had any charm, it's all lost on me.
It's kind of cute in a silly way, but I don't think I'd want to be a grown man called Hobie.

There used to be a line of (I think surfer) clothing called Hobie when I was very little. I had a t-shirt.
eta+ Never mind, they still exist!

I guess his parents didn't want the word/sound 'toe' to be in his name.
so they went with 'hoe'...
Maybe someone had a foot phobia and 'hoe' was the best option?
what do you like better than Hobie?
the actual name Hobart - it just sounds friendly.
