[Opinions] Re: Theotime
in reply to a message by Tiggs
I'm totally delighted to have been amde familiar with it - clearly it marks one of the spots, or quanta, where Terry Pratchett's Discworld and our world intersect. I give you Mr (Jonathan) Teatime, which he insists is pronounced tay-a-tee-may, not Four O;Clock.
Not a role model, he joined the Assassins' Guild after the death of his parents (unexplained? Probably not)and famously tried to assassinate the DW equivalent of Father Christman - the Hogfather!
Of the other names, I like Clive, Barnaby (prefer Barnabas), Stefan (prefer Stephen in English), Graeme (prefer Graham), Belinda and Imogen, and I could live with Tamzin though the spelling is odd. Could also live with Hendrik and Florent, if the surrounding language was appropriate. And I know a delightful pug named Edwina! Charming dog; wags all the time.
