[Opinions] Zimmerman.
Middle name. For a boy. Bob Dylan without the nondescriptness of Bob or the irritating trendiness of Dylan. So, yeah--Zimmerman, yes or no? Combo ideas?ArrayETA: I didn't articulate myself very well! I'd use Zimmerman as a middle name, not a first name--I don't generally do surnames-as-first-names.

If I could take one moment into my hands
Mister, I ain't a boy--no I'm a man,
And I believe in a promised land.

I've actually considered using this name myself, for the same reasons. :) I like it as a first or middle name (nn Zim is kind of cute).

I think if carpenters but that's not necessarily bad. Other than that I'm just not a big fan of it, for the meaning or the sound. I like Bob Dylan myself but I'm not very keen on naming children after anyone, famous or otherwise.

Zimmermann means carpenter in German and that's all I think when I see Zimmerman(n). Without the second n it looks incomplete to me. Zimmerman is too surnamey for my taste although I do like the sound of it.Zimmerman _____________
