[Opinions] Scipio
Is this far too ancient Roman to be brought back from days of Caligula and Nero? And what do you think of it.

AfricanusWell, he was a great general. But I can't really see Scipio flying today. Cool thought, though.

It looks good and I don't think any teasing would happen if it is used as a first name, though for some reason it reminds me of both the word 'scorpion' and Scorpius Malfoy (the son of Draco Malfoy from the "Harry Potter" books).

I first heard this name when my husband and I were watching a documentary on the History Channel, and my first thought was that it sounded like "Skippy-O," which made me laugh. I do like the name, though - I love ancient Roman names (I first heard of Flaminius in the same documentary and fell in love with that one). I also tend to be fond of names that make me smile or laugh :-DAs for real life use, however... it's probably too over-the-top for a first name. It'd make a kickass middle name, though.
