I think it's OK, seeing as it's the only way people would ever pronounce Aisling (one of my favourite girls' names) right - everyone I've mentioned it to says either AZE-ling or EYES-ling, which really puts me off using it.

I only like this name spelled Aislin. However, I do really love the name!

Ashlyn as a form of Aislinn is wonderful
I think the Irish name Aislinn or Aisling is a wonderful name with such a poetic meaning (dream, vision). I prefer this spelling but Ashlyn as a more phonetic spelling is fine too.
If I see it as just a variation of Ashley it is not as great. Funny, isn't it?

Just another boring Lyn name of which there are far too many in my opinion
I'm sorry, it is nms. It looks like a vain attempt to substitute Ashley with something even more "unique". It looks unimaginative, strained, trendy.
ETA: I like Aisling or Aislin, because of the meaning.

It isn't very popular where I live but I don't really like it. I prefer it to Ashley, though.
I prefer Aisling really, its a bit trendy but i like the sound. It makes a more feminine sound than Ashley / Ashleigh
Honestly, I don't like it.
Tryndee. Dislike it. Not my style.
