I actually hate Sofie, but I like Sophie. Sofie is about 4 times more common here, so Sophie seems quite fresh and "new". I don't find it princess-y, even though a lot of princess's seems to be named Sophie in movies etc. I don't really find it boring either. I'm neutral about it I guess.
So, I think Sophie is nice enough, but I still prefer Sophia. ;-)
