I don't think this has been posted yet...Maggie Gyllenhaal and husband, Peter Sarsgaard, welcomed their second daughter - Gloria Ray. Older sister is Ramona.
WDYT?I think Ramona and Gloria are kind of fabulous as sisters. Very flapper-ish. I wish they'd spelt her mn as Rae though.

Ohh yes very flapperish! I'm not crazy about the combo as a whole but I'm delighted to hear Gloria and absolutely LOVE Ramona and Gloria as sisters

They have more of a fifties vibe to me than a flapper vibe. They go well together and they are both quite cute. Nice to see them using more ordinary names and not trying for Honeysuckle Blue or Marilyn Munrow or falling back on tired old Sophie and Alice.

Ramona and Gloria really are perfect together. What cute choices!I'm disappointed with Ray, no matter what the spelling. Rae/Ray seems to be growing as the newest "filler" middle name. 2 out of the last 5 baby girls born to my RL circle of acquaintance have had Rae for a middle name. I'm tired of it already.

I love Gloria, so glad to see it getting some use! I'm not a big fan of Ramona, but I think I read that it's honoring for them?

I like Gloria, but dislike Ray as a mn, especially that spelling. It seems a bit random and filler-ish.Ramona and Gloria is a cool sibset.

ew Jeez. I realize these are probably cool to people here, but I can't help it, I think Gloria and Ramona are both hideous.

I'm in complete agreement about Ramona. There's nothing attractive about it, imo. I find Gloria to be delicate and pretty, though, and I think Ramona and Gloria do work in a retro diner sort of way.
