1. wdyt?
2. how how would you spell it? this is the spelling I'm seeing he most
3. do you see it as a boys or girls name?
4. any combo options
Thanks

1. I think it sounds annoyingly trendy and is completely without substance.
2. Zale, if I *had* to use it.
3. Neither- I see it as a jewelry store.
4. Nope. Sorry.

Department Store!
Sorry, all I can think of is the department store (was it an electronics store?) Zales! also, it makes me think "There is a Sale at Zales". Not terribly lovely associations. I would see it as a boys' name, because it's kind of like Zane or Gale. If you were to use it, I'd make it a middle name. That way he could go by it if he wanted to, or pick something sort of similar instead. Combos: Zale Gideon, Jordan Zale, Evan Zale, Luca Zale...
You could spell it Zayle if you were doing it for a girl, like Gayle, but i think it'd be weird on a girl, and that spelling looks confusing like maybe it's pronounced Zay-lee or something. Zail, Zaille, Zeil are other options.

I think of Zale's: The Diamond Store. I kind of like the sound, but not enough.
I'd spell it Zale, I guess. Zayl, Zail? Zayle?
Probably male. It is a surname, in the case of the store-- Morris Zale, William Zale, and Ben Lipshy were the founders. I guess it could work on a girl too.
I like the idea of it as a nn for Azalea, as mentioned by Serafina Starstrider.
Zale Alexander
Zale Henry
Zale Thomas
Zale Everett
Zale Merrick
Zale Delphine
Zale Odessa
Zale Olympia
Zale Talitha
Zale Iridessa

OT a bit
But I have spent time in the neuroscience hospital called Zale-Lipshy. its run by UT souhwest in Dallas. I was wondering if they were of the same family or something. I guess that answered my question:) this mgiht also explain why I like this name even though it goes against name rules. lol

1. Hate it. Trendy and insubstantial. Also reminds me of the jeweler's company.
2. I don't know how else you would spell it. Zail? It all looks really stupid.
3. Boy.
4. Sorry, I can't think of anything that sounds good.
Serafina's idea to use it as a female nickname for Azalea is very nice.

I haven't heard of Zale before. My instinct is to pronounce it ZAYL. It seems slightly more feminine to me than masculine. I would like it as a nn for Azalea.
I like the name Azalea with the nn Zale. Azalea sounds beautiful, sexy and exotic. Zale sounds spunky and cool.

agree. nn for Azalea is best option. -
I hadn't thought of that
I like the name Azelea. that would be a way to ue it without giving into the 'hype' of trendy made up names
