I'd have guessed Aubryn to be female, because of the fashion for Aubrey on girls, and the current trend for all things "bryn".

Auberon seems much more attractive to my ears, and less likely to be mistaken for a tryndee girl's name. Aubren would probably be the best spelling if you really like the name, though.

I rather like it, it's pretty and different. Aubren would be nice for a boy though it reminds me of the word auburn a bit which isn't bad. :)

I don't like it, but what about Aubin? It is a male French name meaning white. (I like it for a girl, but it would make a decent boys name.)
If you are going to use Aubryn for a boy, I think Aubren would be best. The 'Y' makes it too feminine.

Aubryn...hm...very Welsh/Celtic-esque at first glance, a bit too tryndee at second glance. It strikes me more as a girls name, actually, and it's very pretty as a girl's name. For a boy, I think Aubrin would be better. (IRL, though, people will prolly call Aubryn/Aubren/Aubrin "Auburn" quite a bit)

It sounds like a mispronunciation of the word 'auburn' (or it sounds like someone with an accent who is trying to say "auburn").

When is Aubrey pronounced AU-brin?
Sounds like a pretty made up pronounciation to me.
Like saying that Ashley is pronouced Ash-lyn.
