I knew a Bambie. She was mean - but only because the other kids used to tease her about her name.
What child doesn't know who Bambie is? It sounds nice - I've given the name to pets, but I think for a human being it just wouldn't do anymore, because of the Disney movie.

I had a friend in jr. high named Kym (Kymberly) whose younger sister was named Bambi. I don't believe she was teased for her name, at least not much. She was slightly 'famous' in the area, though, for doing community theater and local commercials, so her popularity distracted people from her name, I guess. :b
