[Opinions] Eleve?
Eleve - pronounced EL-eeve. It's a mix of Ellie and Eve (my sisters' names) and I would like to use it as a middle name for Natasha. Is it too weird? Will it be recieved badly?
All opinions welcome and appreciated!

It sounds like a drug to me (because of Aleve). Something like Evelina or even Evellie sound better.
I misread that as Eleven. So perhaps that would be a problem, even in the middle name slot?
I read it as the French word for pupil, so it is weird for me to see it as a name. It might be ok as a middle name.
Hrm. I like the way it looks and sounds, but it reminds me too much of Aleve! It also looks like Eleven minus the n. It would probably be okay as a middle name though.
You could also use Evie (Ev- from Eve and -ie from Ellie), but that could seem like it is only honoring Eve. Maybe Elvie? It might look too much like "Elvis" though :P

Honestly, I think it's kinda' weird. This is purely because the first thing I think of is Aleve, an NSAID pain reliever. I don't know how it would be recieved.
This is the name of a pain reliever. I don't care for it.
It's very nice that you're intending to honor your sisters.
I don't think it's too weird. Like another poster said, I would also probably spell it Elleve. I think it would help with pronunciation difficulties (if they would crop up), because my initial reading of Eleve was "Ell-ev." Though that could just be me.
I don't think it would be received badly, and people knowing the sentiment behind it would surely approve.

I like the look of it. Reminds me of elfs. But I don't really care for the prn...but maybe I'll get used to that. I think it's a nice way to honor both of your sisters.
Is Ellie her full name, or is it short for something? Can you just use both in the middle, rather than a name smush?
I do like honoring, but name smushes don't usually work out too well. I'm not sure how it will be received, as most people don't use their middle names in daily life (unless they're a fallback name), but I had trouble pronouncing it just seeing it on the main page-I thought it was prounounced E-lev, like eleven minus the n.

All I can think of is this painkiller, Aleve.
Honestly, at first I thought this was a post on a name you'd seen based on the spelling of the medicine, Aleve. Is it possible to honor one sister with Natasha and then another the next go round? Natasha Eve is beautiful. Does Ellie have a formal name? A mn that you love? I'm thinking if so, you could give Natasha two mns. I just don't find Eleve attractive either spoken or written although ultimately, it would be your dd's mn and not many would know what it is. It wouldn't likely be a problem for your dd most of the time.

There are issues with Eleve, as noted by others, but as a middle name, I don't think it's too weird or problematic. Her middle name will rarely be used, after all. Eleve probably wouldn't be received with great enthusiasm outside your family, but it would have meaning and significance for you guys, and that's more important.
I like Mareasi's suggestion of spelling it Elleve. I'll also suggest Evelina and Ellevie.

Ellevie is kinda cute.
It makes me think of the pain reliever Aleve. I wonder if anyone before me has said this. Probably. I'll find out shortly. I wouldn't recommend it as a first name, certainly, but as a middle name, it's okay. It *is* somewhat "weird", but that's not the end of the world in a middle name, and sometimes a "weird" middle name is kind of cool---your daughter can explain that her middle name is a mash-up to honor, and that's way more interesting than a filler middle name such as Rose or Marie.
Reminds me of the medication Aleve prn very similar
Eleven and elevation come to mind when I see it. I think it looks too made up to be taken seriously as a name.
I first read it as "pupil", or "student", as that's what it is in French.(I live in a French-speaking area.)
But sure, it's an acceptable middle name, especially as it's meaningful to you.Points to you, for wanting to honour your sisters!

I immediately thought of Aleve, the anti-inflammatory drug.
Natasha is beautiful. How about Natasha Eleanor / Elinor Eve, Natasha Eve Eleanor / Elinor, or Natasha Ellen Eve?

I like the sound and the sentiment behind it. I'd probabaly change the spelling to Elleve simply to make it look less like it's missing an n of the end
Yes, good idea.
It reminds me of the painkiller Aleve. It's also a French word for "student." Sorry. It's not working on so many levels.
It kinda looks like it's missing an -n on the end.
It sounds quite pretty but I'm not sure if it would work. I suppose if it's a middle name, that's better. Elisheva is a name that has the "eli" and "eve" sounds in it...?
