Bože and Božo are usually short for Božidar (Bozidar).
God is 'Bog' in Croatian and in some cases (as in grammatical case -nominative, dative, accusative, etc.) the G changes into Ž.

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain properly. Bože is the vocative form of Bog, but it's not used as such as a name (as a name it's short from Božidar). You wouldn't use an inflected noun as a name and the stress is a bit different.
