I'm neutral to Carine. It's not popular, but it kinda sounds weird.

Carrie would be a pretty good nickname.

Between the two, Carine looks better although I'd be more inclined to go with the similar Corinne.

Personally I prefer Carina - KAH-ree-NAH
But I'd prefer the Carine spelling than to that with a K
