I usually like Welsh female names....but "elen" means "the electricity" in Swedish! :)
I do like Elin, though. I have a cousin Elin. It's a common name here. Ellen is common, too, but I prefer Elin.

Welsh friend's baby is Beca Elen and she's very cute

I'm not sure which I prefer, but the pronunciation Eh-Lehn is more attractive than Eh-Lihn, in my opinion.
