[Facts] Pronunciation and meaning: Janneken
Janneken is a female name that I assume is Dutch. It is from the 17th Century. Is there another way to spell it using modern Dutch? If she were the only daughter or the oldest daughter would she be named after her maternal grandmother or paternal grandmother?

I would assume that Janneken is a pet form of Janneke, which is in turn a pet form of Janna etc.
