When I told my dh about the play / story of
Antigone, it made the name more attractive to him. Dying to honor a loved one? Defying society to do it? Catnip to my sweetie. :-) Strong female role models are important.
Antigone has the added attraction of neat nns like
Annie, Tigs, or Tiggers (when young).
Antigone has that hard "g" sound in the middle that I'm beginning to be drawn to more and more -- heavy, non-frilly sounds.
Love them. If we had ever had a girl,
Antigone definitely would have been in the running.
