When I lived in Dallas, my hairdresser had a little Roderick. His father was a Rodney, and I thought it was a good compromise for a man who wanted a junior and a woman who really didn't. If I wanted a Rick name, I'd opt for Frederick, Richard, or Alaric, but I like Roderick, too.
